Strain Name: Pre-98 Bubba Kush
Appearance: Very nice manicure on these dense, frosty nugs that also have hints of purple throughout. It’s one of those buds that you consider eating.
Smell: Grinding up this bud unleashes the unmistakable kushy funk. Very pungent.
Taste: While there are hints of the Bubba Kush funky flavor in this bud, it’s a little harsh on the throat which takes away from the overall flavor.
Effects: This is a very potent indica bud. The joint went out on me a couple times because I was distracted (high!).
Overall: Bubba Kush is just one of those strains that I have a hard time passing up. With a strong, unique flavor and powerful potency, these herbs will appeal to all of your senses.
The Pre-98 variety is said to be the original Bubba Kush, from before the strain was feminized. After 98, the strain is said to have been crossed with other strains, birthing some of today’s Bubba Kush varieties. I have tried both Pre/Post-98 strains and think they are both great for medicinal purposes.
After smoking a joint of this herb I immediately felt locked to the couch with a soft buzzing feeling across my entire body. I could also feel my eyes drooping from the relaxing effects on my head/face. This herb is perfect for the afternoon/evenings when you’re winding down (or for a wake n’bake on a lazy Sunday).
While this batch of Bubba Kush embodies many of the qualities that I know and love, such as the powerful aroma and potency, it’s a bit harsh on the throat when smoking and lacks the powerful flavor that I’ve found with other Bubba Kush buds.
