Strain Name: Mystic OG
Type: Hybrid (Indica)
Looks: A mixture of large to small sized forest green marijuana nuggets completely covered in diamond like trichomes with noticeable red/rust colored pistols.
Smell: Earthy with hints of pine and tea leaves. Scent is light to the nose, but its lingering aromatic effects are stronger.
Taste: Similar to its smell and quite tasty. An earthy dankness with sweet spots which had me smacking my lips.
Buzz Type: Energetic with a mellowing aspect.
Buzz Length: Above Average to Long (1.5 to 2 hours)
Summary: Taking a break from concentrates, Mystic OG filled the void nicely given my high tolerance due to almost exclusively taking dabs for weeks prior to receiving this batch of lovely flowers.
Mystic OG is somewhat like riding a roller coaster. At the start, this strain provided me with a serious energy burst. I found my mind racing with thoughts and was not really able to sit down. I would take on lots of multi-tasking, but would also start something and forget to finish what I was doing prior. Very “Sativa” like symptoms with an added bonus of muscle relaxation as pain relief was solid. The uplifting buzz was approximately 30% of the buzz.
60% of buzz was very mellowing. After a big energy rush, the “come down” was very mellowing and relaxing. This was almost a complete “180″ from the buzz initially felt. Pain relief and stress was all held at bay and I was able to function and not be all over the place mentally. Where the first part I found quite challenging to work, this back end and lingering part of the buzz is exactly what the doctor ordered as I was able to work comfortably and efficiently without jumping all over the place.
Mystic OG had properties very similar to Mars OG to me. I enjoyed that nice cerebral tingle and pressure after completion of bowl, but that energy bust did catch me off-guard as I was not expecting that in an Indica dominant Hybrid strain.
Overall Mystic OG is a very solid and flavorful strain; especially after dabbing exclusively for days prior. I am sure this is one strain that will find its way back into my medicine cabinet through out 2014.
